Jayapura, Jubi – Loosing three key players due to injury and (red) card accumulation is very influential to the sequel match of the AFC Cup, said Persipura team Captain Boaz Solossa.
But he strongly sure and believes that other players are capable taking over their role. “I believe whoever been selected by Coach Sessa for the match are the best,” he told reporters after team rehearsal at Mandala Stadium in Jayapura on Monday (13/4/2015).
According to him, some players such as Gerald Pangkali and Isaac Wanggai could well perform in the midfield. “Gerald and Isaac can replace the position of Manu and Ian,” said Salossa.
When asked about the team preparation, he said Persipura has applied a lot of simulation in each team exercise in anticipating their rival. “We have done a lot of simulation in practice sessions. I hope we could implement it later in the match,” he said.
He also warned his colleagues for not losing their concentration in the game although they won the first leg in Maldives. “I’ve talked to my friend to keep focus on the game. We must aware to every possibilities; moreover our guess is coming with a motivation achieving the optimum result,” said Solossa.
Meanwhile, the Maziya SR head coach, Ali Suzein believed his team would capable stealing three points from Persipura although they were beaten in the first leg.
“We are coming for three points, thought we missed in the first leg from Persipura,” he said. He continued his team is ready to watch the host team’s motivation that will play in front of their supporters. “The tomorrow match is a very hard game. We knew Persipura is the strong team in the AFC Cup 2015, but we will do our best efforts to get the best result,” Suzein said. (Jubi/Roy Ratumakin/rom)
