Jayapura, 21/4 (Jubi) – Singapore’s Home United said they were determined to defeat Persipura Jayapura in their final group match of AFC Cup as they arrived in Jayapura with 16 players.
Home United coach Lee Lim Saeng told tabloidjubi.com at Sentani Airport, Monday (21/4) said his team were in high spirits and confident of winning on Wednesday (23/4).
“We are all doing well and ready to compete against Persipura,” he said.
“Home United will stay at Aston hotel, while officials and match organizers stay at Swissbell hotel,” AFC local committee, P. Yarona said on Monday (21/4).
He added that the group would go straight to the hotel, take a rest and conduct field trials ahead.
While walking toward the vehicle to pick him up, Saeng confirmed that their target is to win the match at Mandala stadium.
“Persipura is a strong club and currently occupies the top rank in the group, still Home United determines to get points,” the 42-year man from South Korea said.
Persipura coach, Jacksen F Tiago believes that Boaz T Solossa and friends will work hard to beat Home United at Mandala.
“Although we’ve won the group stage but still we need to work hard to reach a result as hosts,” said Tiago.
