Jayapura, 20/4 (Jubi)- A former Persipura Jayapura defender in the 1980s, Agustinus Ohee, died after suffering from hepatitis on Monday (20/4) in Siloam Hospital, Jakarta.
“I just got the information from his son Adolf Ohee and tonight his body would depart from Jakarta. Agus Ohee was a Persipura defender and the Tribe Chief of Kampung Harapan,” the Director of Emsyik Football Academy, Benny Pepuho, told tabloidjubi by phone on Sunday (20/4).
He said Ohee played with Erens Pehelerang the former coach of Persidafon. Pehelerang at that time played as a defender for Persipura Junior while Ohee joined the team with Rully Nere, Ian Rumbrar, Mettu Dwaramury and Niko Ramandey.
“I express condolences and feel the loss of one of my fellows,” Pehelerang said via a text message.
Meanwhile Persipura Assistant Coach Mettu Dwaramury said Ohee was his teammate. His son Adolf Ohee also joined Persipura. “Adolf Ohee played for Persipura in 2005-2006 when it gained its first championship in the Indonesian Football League and coached by Rahmad Dharmawan,” he said. He added he and his other teammates were deeply feeling loss and expressed their condolences on his death.
On behalf of all Persipura players, the Secretary of the Association of Former Players of Persipura, Richard Fere gives their sympathy and commiseration.
“We hope his wife and children will be strong, and the Lord protects them,” the Persipura former defender of the eighties, Fere said. (Jubi/dominggus a mampioper)
