Timika, 4/1 (Jubi) – Landslides has occurred at 09:00 PM on Saturday (4/1) at sand mining site type C owned by Conny C. Pallo in HawaiSentani. It caused 3 deaths and 4 were injured.
From the information confirmed to Jubi, the victims who died were Dwi Juniardi( 5 years old), a resident of Tanah Hitam, Abepura; Yance Monim (30 years old), a resident of Hawai, Sentani; and Fredy Monim (15 years old), a student who just lives behind the office of Recue Agency, Sentani.
A witness named NurYanto, a resident of Tanah HitamAbepura, said that the victims, both died and were injured, have been evacuated to the Yowari Hospital, Sentani. The injured victims including Yoas suffered the abrasions on his left foot and right ankle, Ferry is currently in the critical condition caused by his injured legs, upper head and right temple, Dolis suffered the injuries on his head and left leg calf, and the last, Ahmad got the injuries on his leg.
According to NurYanto, the Police Office of Sentani and National Rescue Office at Hawai, Sentani conducted the process of evacuation and investigation. “The evacuation was completed at 12:15 PM, continued with taking the information from ConnyPallo at the Police Office of Sentani. The police line has been set up in the scene on orders of Chief of Police Office of Sentani for avoiding the subsequent landslides,” said NurYanto (4/1). (Jubi/Eveerth)
