Jayapura , 6/4 ( Jubi ) – Persipura coach Jacksen Tiago Churchill Brothers would be hard to beat in their home turf India on Wednesday as they seek to avenge the 2-0 defeat in Jayapura.
“The struggle is not over. We still have to fight hard in the next games to win the group stage,” Tiago told tabloidjubi.com via a text message.
“The next match against Churchill Brothers India is not an easy task as the home team would also avenge their defeat,” he said.
Persipura will play against Churchill Brothers on April 9 at Nehru Stadium in Goa. Tiago said he was happy with the victory over Maldivian side New Radiant and all the players were ready to face the next game .
“There will be a fight in the midfield,” Ferdinando Fairyo said via text message to tabloidjubi.com Sunday ( 6/4 ).
He said the control of the midfield is very important to supply the ball and intercept attacks from the opposing team. The fight will be between June Sik Lim, Gerald Pangkali , Ian Kabes Luiz , Emmanuel Wanggai and Nelson Alom versus Abdel Hamid Sabana, Wolfe , Binesh , Balwant Singh and Saran.
Midfielders Sabana and Pereira are very dangerous in attacking in addition to strikers Lagos and Antony Wolf, a former Trinidad and Tobago player at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
A win over Persipura has become a target for Mariano Diaz ‘s side since this will be very important for Churchill Brothers’ position in the domestic league .
