Jayapura , 20/5 ( Jubi ) – Persipura became the second club to score nine goals in a match, after beating Yangon United 9-2.
According to the AFC ‘s official website Tuesday ( 20/5 ), Persipura was not the first club that bought up nine goals in the knockout round. Nasaf club from Uzbekistan did it first by beating FC Dempo from India with a landslide score 9-0 of the 2011 AFC Cup.
Persipura was the second club with one goal ahead from the club Duing Binh, Vietnam. Vietnam’s club defeated Kedah of Malaysia in the knockout round of the 2009 AFC in 2009 with a score of 8-2.
Other clubs that scored most are Safa from Lebanon with a score of 8-0 against SC Rashvan, Turkmenistan and one of Indonesian clubs, Persibo Bojonegoro.
