Jayapura, 1/3 (Jubi) – Stehpanus Ulahayanan and Emma Bonay won Port Numbay 10 K race for students on Saturday, which was held on Hamadi Beach, Japsel Sub-district of Jayapura City.
They were success competing over 600 runners in the event that was held to commemorate the 104th Anniversary of Jayapura City.
Ulahayanan told to tabloidjubi.com that he was very proud of his victory.
“I joined the race since 2011, but never won. So I keep on practice since that time and today I win,” he said.
Head Division of Youth, Jacob Anggai said PASI (Indonesian Athletics Association) of Jayapura City held this competition is to find the outstanding young talents, which later would be involved on the same event in the coming year.
“We are focusing to the students in order to fostering the young athletes,” he said. (Jubi/Sindung/rom)
