Jayapura, Jubi – Singapore’s Warrior FC arrived in Papua, where they will face Jayapura in an AFC Cup qualification match on Tuesday.
“They have booked accommodation in our hotel and the guests will check in by Sunday morning,” Aston Hotel’s receptionist told Jubi on Saturday (25/4/2015).
Persipura Jayapura obtained the permit to hold the AFC Cup home match against the Warriors FC on Tuesday (28/4/2015) at Mandala Stadium, Jayapura.
“For this match, we’ve made coordination with the Papua Police Chief and Indonesian Police’s colleagues as well. The game is allowed to be run on Tuesday, 28 April 2015 at Mandala Stadium,” the Jayapura Municipal Police Chief Jeremias Rontini said few times ago.
Earlier, the police canceled a match between Persipura and Persija for ILS QBV League 2015 that had been planned to be held at Mandala Stadium.
After the cancelation, Persipura decided to focus on AFC Cup 2015.
“There’s anything I can do, although Persipura was ready for Persija. But we continue to practices and be focus on the AFC Cup,” Persipura Coach Osvaldo Lessa said. “I don’t want to make any comments on this cancelation, because we only want to keep our focus and passion to the exercise. There is a very important game for us in the AFC Cup,” Persipura Team Captain Boaz Solossa said.
In the first game, Persipura succeed to grasp the full point after defeat the Warriors FC by 3 – 1 in Singapore. It made the team coached by Oswaldo Lessa becoming the first team goes to the sixteenth final with ten points.
