Jayapura, 23/2 (Jubi) – Despite the flood and landslides that have hit Jayapura City, an AFC Champions League match  between Persipura and Churchill Brothers FC from India will go ahead as scheduled.

Persipura Jayapura chairman Benhur Tommy Mano said the match would be held on Tuesday at the Mandala Stadium in Jayapura City. “I think the game won’t be affected because we have prepared the transportation, the pitch and security as well,” Mano told tabloidjubi.com on Sunday (23/2).

Meanwhile the Media Officer of Persipura, Rocky Bebena, said by phone that Persipura’s management will not cancel the game because it  has been prepared for some time. “Of course, we won’t cancel the game, AFC officials have already been in Jayapura, and I think we are ready,” he said.
