FREE WEST PAPUA CAMPAIGN TO OPEN OFFICE IN AUSTRALIA

Jayapura, 25/4 (Jubi) – West Papua National Committee (KNPB) expressed thir support for the plan of the opening of the Free West Papua Campaign office that will be held on Sunday, April 27.

“We urges all people of West Papua anywhere to hold a peaceful protest in supporting Australian Government’s intention to allow the opening of the Free West Papua Campaign Office in Australia,” KNPB spokesman Bazoka told reporters in Expo, Waena, Jayapura on Friday ( 25/4).

The support will be in the form of worship or any activities, depending on the situation in their respective areas. KNPB will also make a political stance at KNPB Secretariat in Jayapura.

Meanwhile, chairman  of KNPB, Agus Kossay said, the first office was launched in Oxford, England on October 28, 2012 followed by the opening of the Free West Papua Campaign office in Netherlands on August 15, 2013, then in Papua New Guinea on December 1, 2013 and April 27, 2014 will be opening in Austalia by Benny Wenda and friends.
“We also thank the Australian Government for giving us permission to open an office in Australia. This such important steps to carry forward Papua diplomats abroad. We thank also for the support of churches in Australia,”Kossay said. (Jubi / Aprila/ Tina)
