Sorong, 18/6 (Jubi) – Papua Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Paulus Waterpauw said he suspected a third party involvement in the escape of eight prisoners from the Sorong police detention center.
“The eight prisoners easily escaped from detention and we have suspicion there were those who deliberately helped them,” he said after conducting an inspection at Mapolres Sorong City on Tuesday morning (17/6)
Papua Police are investigating if there are indications of negligence or help from officers.
Sorong City police chief, Assistant Commissioner (Pol) Harry Golden Hart added that on Monday investigators questioned two policemen on duty that that time.
