Jayapura, 6/3 (Jubi) – Hundreds of student refused the Chief of Papua Police to give a public lectures in the Faculty of Technique of Cenderawasih University on Thursday (6/3).

They took a banner ‘Students of UNCEN Refuse the Humanitarian Criminal’ to protest the Inspector General Tito Karnavian, the Chief.

Alpares Kapisa, a student who participated in the protest, said the lecturers was not coordinate the visit of Chief of Papua Police to the students, therefore they decided to do a boycott.
“If he wants to give a public lecture, all students of UNCEN must be invited instead of the students of Technique and Social-Political Science Faculties,” Kapisa said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Student Executive Board of Social-Political Science Faculty, Zeth Wenda said the students didn’t know about this visit. They only got the information that the Chief of Papua Police would give a public lecture without knowing his subject of lecture.

“We refuse his visit because we thought there is a political interest behind this,” he said. (Jubi/Indrayadi TH/rom)
