Timika, Jubi – On Monday, May 8, 2023, Pastor Paniur Tabuni (40) underwent surgery at Mimika Regency Hospital to remove a bullet. He got hit by a round allegedly fired by TNI members in Gingga Baru Village, Sinak District, Puncak Regency.

The incident occurred on Friday, May 5, at 09.30 a.m. Papua time. Tabuni’s left arm and right hip was injured. Currently, Tabuni, who is the secretary of the Sinak Class of the Kingmi Chuch, is still receiving treatment.

On Monday afternoon, Tabuni regained consciousness. ”I just had surgery, I’m currenty experiencing numbness throughout my body. But speaking of my overall health, I think I am getting better,” he said when met by Jubi at the hospital.

Previously, Tabuni’s relative Elis Wafom said she had received the results of the X-ray at Mimika Regency Hospital. According to her, the doctor said there were bullet projectiles in the waist and left arm of Paniur Tabuni. (*)
